QUALIFICATIONS:
- Tractor must be 1959 in production or older model to qualify as an antique in order to pull in the following classes; 3000, 3500, 4000, 4500, 5000, 5500, 6000, 6500, 7000. Drivers must be at least 10 years old and must be able to reach all controls and brakes. Registration will close 30 minutes before the pull starts.
- Tractors are classed for pulling by weight. The driver weighing the tractor must pull the tractor in that class. To enter a class competitively tractor plus driver must not exceed the weight for the class they are pulling by more than 100 pounds.
TRACTOR RULES:
- Tire tread that has been cut, ground, or altered in any way other than normal wear will not be permitted.
- Pneumatic tires only, no tires larger than 18.4/38
- Dual wheels will not be permitted
- Tire chains are not permitted
- Tractors must have proper part number on block for year of manufacturer or a manufacturer’s replacement based on tractor serial number.
- Tractor must have stock cooling system in operation.
- Draw-bar and hitching point should be rigid in all directions, excluding a clevis.
- The top of the hitching device must be no higher than 20″ from the ground and the hitching point no less than 18″ from the center of the axle.
- Hitching device must have at least a 3″ hole.
- If tractor is not equipped with wheelie bars they must use club provided chain. If chain leaves the ground you will be stopped. Flagman has final decision.
- All weights must be secured, if any drop weights or tractor parts drop off and touch the ground during the pull, you will be disqualified. (Unless the puller} Duration of the pull which is considered anytime the tractor is hooked to the sled. Weights are not allowed to extend beyond the rear edges of the rear tires. No weight should be placed beyond 24″, measuring from the further most front point of tractor, excluding weight bracket and crank.
- All tractors must be equipped with hood and grill if standard, (side curtains are optional.}
- Standard components (frames, transmission cases, rear ends and housing, front-ends, hubs, gas tanks, excluding axles) may not be modified or substituted.
- Tractors have to be operated under governor power. 1500 rpm max 2 cylinder 3000 rpm max 4 and 6 cylinder
- Rear-ends and transmission gears must be stock per factory specifications and be complete.
- Allowances will be made for tractors with hand clutches and hand brakes, allowing the operator to use one hand.
- All pull are to be started from a tight hitch. no jerking.
- The only fuels permitted are gasoline, diesel, LP, and kerosene. no other fuels are permitted highest octane 93 no cam.
- No parts of the tractor may interfere with the sled or sled hitch during the pull.
OPERATOR RULES:
- A tractor operator must be able to operate all tractor controls from a seated position. Decision on small children will be made by the track official and/or safety committee.
- Any child under 10 years of may not pull.
- Any child under 12 years of age must have wheelie bars and a kill switch and maybe subject to a driver’s test.
- There must be a signed waiver for any child under the age of 18.
- Tractor tires must stay within the boundaries of the course or will be disqualified (unless test puller}.
- Drivers must be seated at all times while pulling. Drivers are not to put their hands through the steering wheel while pulling to hold the throttle in place. Track official and safety committee have the authority to enforce rules and all decisions are final.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
- Exhibits must be in place by Saturday, August 19 and remain until Saturday, August 26.
- All exhibits must register in the Antique Tractor area.
- All exhibits must be secured by blocks and brakes. PLEASE BLOCK YOUR EQUIPMENT.
- Fire extinguisher for small engine exhibits must be with each display.
- Garden tractors must be antique (25 years or older) in running condition.
- Antique tractors must be 25 years or older for display.
- Display will be at the discretion of registration superintendents.

Demolition Derby Official Entry Form
GENERAL RULES & REGULATIONS:
- Each driver must fill out an entry blank. All drivers must supply their own car. Only one (1) entry per Person per class.
- All rules and regulations must be observed. Track operators or promoter reserves the right to approve or reject any and all entries.
- All drivers 16 or 17 years old must have a notarized release form signed by his or her parent or guardian. No one under 16 years old can drive or be in track area. All drivers should be prepared to show valid driver’s license.
- All persons must sign a release form and receive a pit pass to be permitted in the pit area or on the track. Drivers only to receive free pit pass upon registration of car on day of show. All pit passes are $10.00 other than driver. Driver’s pit pass fee ($10) will be taken off of the entry fee.
- Entry fee – $20.00 per car. No refunds.
- Both driver & mechanic must be present when vehicle is inspected and certified. Also, both must be present at driver-mechanic meeting held one hour before event.
- Any driver or crew member disobeying the rules will cause his or her car to be disqualified. Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated and will be grounds for disqualification. Drivers are responsible for the actions of their crew members.
- No alcoholic beverages or illegal substances (narcotics) are allowed in pit area or on the fairgrounds. Drivers or pit crews caught drinking or engaging with illegal substances (narcotics) disqualifies their car and driver.
- The promoter and/or Jefferson County Fair Association will not be held responsible for any cars, parts or personal property before, during and after the show or overnight.
- Cars may be left at the grounds for pick up by local salvage people. If you want your car, make sure you load it on your trailer and remove it from the grounds immediately after the derby. All cars left will be removed from grounds.
- The total purses for the entire event is $3,500.00. This money will be broken down into heat winners, main event and Bang Up. First Place only in each heat gets money and trophy. This person is eligible for the main event.
DRIVERS ENTRY:
- Entry and consent forms will be available here, on the Jefferson County Fair website or at the Fairgrounds the night of the event. Please be at the track for inspection and sign up at least 1 ½ hrs. early. All money must be paid the night of the event at the Fairgrounds.
- All drivers and cars must be entered and at the track 1 hour before the scheduled starting time of derby.
- Enter early! There will be no limit on the number of cars allowed.
- You must paint the car number on both side doors. Also, a sign must be placed on the roof of the car with the same number on each side. This is to make it easier for the lap counters to keep up with your laps. You may pick your number provided the number is not already taken.
PARTICIPANT REGULATIONS:
- All classes will be separated by the engine cylinder. 4 cyl, 6cyl, 8cyl Cars. MINI Trucks/ Small SUV /MINI Vans will be separated into 2wheel drive and 4wheel drive pending car count. Any truck under ½ ton, regular cab or extended cab (NO four door cabs!) Any small or midsize SUV (No Tahoe, Suburban or Expeditions, etc.). Any model mini vans.
- All glass including windshield, side windows, rear window, head and tail lights must be removed.
- Hood latch mechanisms must be removed. Winding windows down is not permitted. Front windshield may be left in if you are only running the Figure 8. All glass including front windshield must be removed if you are running the Bang-Up part of the Derby.
- Auto must be swept clean. No junk tires, wheels, metal parts, broken glass, etc. allowed in the car.
- Chrome molding strips and all seats except the driver’s seat must be removed. All carpet is to be removed.
- On a fresh car, rear end area cannot be mashed down, flattened or crushed.
- No coil to leaf conversions. All original body mounts must remain in car. Rear ends may be chained. NO FLAT STACKED LEAF SPRINGS.
- Welded or chained down engine mounts are recommended.
- Radiators must remain in original position or be taken out. Comparable replacement radiators are permitted. Radiators and cooling systems must have antifreeze flushed out and only water can be added. Transmission coolers are permitted but only if they are secured inside engine compartment OR inside if deemed safe by tech officials.
- Four-point drivers protection may be used, one bar only between the A-pillars, one bar between the B-pillars, with one connecting side bar on the drives and passenger side.
- All doors must be fastened shut by wire, straps, chains, or welded and reinforced for driver’s safety. All cars must have a minimum of at least driver’s door protection it can be inside or outside the driver’s door and must extend 6″ on either side of the driver’s door. If on outside of door, material must be tapered back to car body at the end of reinforcement area.
- Absolutely NO concrete will be allowed.
- No seam welding, no welding on frame or body except doors.
- Only one battery allowed. If battery is moved from original position, it must be placed on floorboard of the front passenger’s compartment in a box or crate. It must be securely fastened to floorboard and completely covered.
- Hood, truck or tailgate may be wired in six (6) places each, 2 strands of wire per hole. Light chains may be used on trunk or tailgate only. Hood may also be secured by all thread in four locations using no larger than¾ all thread. Wiring must be from sheet metal to sheet metal. No other wiring to bumpers or frames. No welds on hood, trunk or tailgate. Officials will make decision on overuse of wire or chains. Hood & trunk must be left open until after inspection. Hood must remain on cars.
- It is mandatory that an opening be cut in hood over carburetor, approximately 12″ or larger, square or round. Hood latch must be removed. Also, it is recommended that a hole be cut in middle of trunk lid for visibility, Exhaust pipes through hood must extend straight up.
- Stock gas tanks may be removed form original position and may be placed inside the car in front of rear axle and no farther forward than the rear of the front seat. A portable tank in the form of a Marine tank or fuel cell is recommended. All tanks must be securely fastened to the floor. Gas hoses and fittings to fuel tanks must be secured and leak proof. Only metal or rubber gas lines permitted. No plastic lines. All lines going through the floor board must be covered with a larger rubber line so as not to wear a hole in the lines. A rubber grommet in each hole is OK. This will be checked by officials. Approximately 4 gallons of gas will be permitted per heat. Electric fuel pumps are permitted, but must have shut off switch within driver’s reach. Inspection officials will give final approval on tanks and fittings. Tanks must be covered.
- Gas tank can be left in original position if you are running the Figure 8 race only. Gas tank must be moved per instructions in rule above if you run the Bang-Up part of the Derby.
- No restrictions on tire size. Double tires or liquids in tires are not permitted. No studs or screws in rims to hold tires. No valve stem protectors. No split rims. Wheel weights must be removed.
- A strong wire or nylon mesh screen is required on driver’s windows and windshield area. Heavy plexiglass or Lexan is permitted in driver’s windshield.
- Safety belt, Z-90 approved helmet, goggles, safety glasses or face shields are required. A neck brace is recommended. Long pants and long sleeve shirt or jackets are required.
- Vehicles must have dependable brakes at all times and boundaries must be observed.
CONTEST RULES:
- No cars are permitted in the competition area before the heat in which they are to participate.
- A vehicle will be disqualified if the driver’s door comes open during the derby.
- After the Figure 8 Derby is complete the cars that are capable of running from the heats and the feature will be brought back for a standard bang up Demolition Derby if all glass has been removed and the gas tank has been moved per previous gas tank rule. During this part of the derby a one-minute limit is enforced by the track officials for re-start and making competitive contact with another car. Hits must be aggressive. Simple contact
within the time limit does not constitute combat and could be considered sandbagging. Sandbagging may result in the driver being red flagged. - A non-refundable $100.00 protest fee is required to contest another car. All protesting must be done before driver’s meeting.
- A fire extinguisher is recommended at close reach in driver’s compartment.
- No one riding on outside of cars or passengers inside the car at any time due to insurance regulations. This will result in automatic disqualification.
- Boundaries must be observed at all times. Any car shoved or driven out of bounds or is on or over a barrier may be immediately disqualified if Derby officials feel there is a safety hazard.
- The front end of your car may be reinforced within the following guidelines: All reinforcement must be kept behind the original grill & within the original sheet metal. Bars used must not exceed 2″ in diameter. At least 50% of the radiator must be exposed to the front of the car. Bars must not extend back more than 24″ towards the driver’s
compartment. Bumpers may be from any year passenger car, attached to the car by stock hardware, late model bumper shocks, or hardnosed to the unibody. Bumper shocks may be lightly welded, bolted or chained. The Officials will be the judge of excess reinforcement and may require you to add or subtract metal as needed. - No deliberate head-on collisions and no deliberate hitting on the driver’s door.
- If it doesn’t say you CAN do it. DON’T do it.
- All cars MUST run a Figure 8 Heat to compete in the Bang Up.

EVENT REGISTRATION:
- Registration will occur in person at the motorsport’s office located next to the pulling track/performance area.
- Registration will begin 1 hour prior to the event.
- Participants, their parent, and the vehicle should enter at Admission Gate 7 (Pit Area Gate)
RULES:
- Participants must be no younger than age 4 and no older than age 9 on the date of the event.
- Any regular electric power wheel is allowed.
- Stock battery may be replaced with a 12-volt lawn mower battery ONLY. May be located under hood or trunk but must be secured and covered at all times. All batteries will be checked to ensure they do not exceed 12-volt.
- MUST wear a helmet. Bicycle helmets ARE allowed.
- Must have some form of seatbelt.
- Must be completely stock with no modifications other than those listed in these rules.
- No modification to frames or added sheet metal.
- No lowering or raising the front or rear.
- No passengers allowed.
- No studs or screws in tires.
- Track officials will aid competitors to get those unstuck.
- Winners to be determined by track officials.
- All track official decisions are final and not subject to appeal.

- Tractors and trucks competing in pull must be from Berkeley, Jefferson, or Morgan Counties. (We ask for honesty of drivers that tractors are owned by WV residents and not on “loan” from out of state for our event) All drivers must have a valid WV drivers license.
- Entry Fee $5.00 per class.
- 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place in all stock and stock turbo classes.
- Scales will open at 5:00 p.m.
- Tractors will be divided according to the following weights:
- Class No. 1 – 5,500 lb. Stock
- Class No. 2 – 7,500 lb. Stock, not to exceed 80 hp (Drawbar)
- Class No. 3 – 9,500 lb. Stock, not to exceed 100 hp
- Class No. 4 – 12,500 lb. Stock and Turbo Class No. 5 – 15,500 lb. Stock and Turbo

RULES AND REGULATIONS
SECTION I: OPERATIONS OF CONTEST
- Each tractor may only be entered in two classes, and only once in each class.
- Number one puller will be test puller and may take pull if weight machine is okay, or he may pull in third position. If weight machine needs further adjustment, first pull after each adjustment will be treated as number one puller. All decisions on re-pulls must be made before tractor in question is unhooked from sled. On any repull caused by a contest mal-function, puller at his discretion may drop back three positions. Any disqualifications on first attempt bars a second attempt.
- No one allowed on track except for track officials and contestants: no helpers. Track is defined as area within 25 feet in any direction of contest course boundaries.
- Contestant must pull at position drawn within three (3) minutes of time sled is in readiness. Any delay will mean disqualification. If presiding judge is notified before preceding contestant makes his pull, he may drop a contestant having mechanical problems three positions. This may be done only once per contestant per class.
- All pulls must start with a tight hitch; no jerking permitted. Contestants will be allowed two consecutive attempts and 75 feet to start the sled.
- Tractor must remain within boundaries of contest course during the pull or will be disqualified.
SECTION II: SAFETY AND TRACTOR OPERATION
- Tractors must be operated in a safe manner at all times.
- Operator must remain seated during the pull and must have complete control of the tractor at all times.
- Consumption of alcoholic beverages prior to pulling will mean disqualification. No alcoholic beverages allowed in track area.
- Tractor must be stopped immediately upon signal from judge. The pull shall be considered over when forward motion of the load stops.
- Excessive loss of liquid by a tractor while in forward motion during contest on the track will be cause for disqualification unless due to internal breakage. (Excessive is defined as any steam of intermittent steam discharged on the track.)
- All tractors must be in neutral or park (transmission sector) while being hitched or unhitched.
SECTION Ill: STOCK AND TURBO TRACTORS
- Prior contributions not included but also not factored in.
- Contests open to farm tractors with rubber tires. No dual tires, tire studs or chains permitted. All power must be transmitted through rear tires.
- No portion of the tractor shall interfere with the sled or sled hitch during a pull.
- Each tractor may only be entered in two classes, and only once in each class.
- Stock tractors mean: Naturally aspirated stock block tractor with no visual engine modification. Must have standard block and crankcase for make and model being entered. Classes must conform with engine being entered. No cubic inch limit.
- No external engine modifications including changes in throttle linkage (hot springs, etc.) different carburetors, fuel pumps, external air routing, etc. Stock Tractors limited to 3000 RPM. Tractors in question may be checked.
- If committee doubts legality of stock entry, or upon protest of another contestant in that class, contestant must verify 150 units of tractor in question have been manufactured (Notarized statement from the manufacturer) furnish part numbers, and prove to the committee’s satisfaction that they have a legal entry.
- All weights must be safely secured to tractor. No weight or weight frame may extend over 24 inches beyond the front of the tractor. No weights may extend beyond the rear most point of the rear tires. (String across tires to check if doubted.) All ballast lost while on the track is cause for disqualification, unless done after forward movement of sled and tractor has stopped. (Pull is over.) NO LOOSE WEIGHTS INSIDE OF TRACTOR CABS.
- No Superchargers, (even if standard equipment). No pressurized fuels except LP Gas, no oxidizers.
- All stock tractors must be equipped with original style hood or grill.
- All exhaust must discharge vertically upward above the highest point of the tractor with exception of Roll Bars, and be securely attached. Rain Caps may not be used.
- Minimum drawbar length 18 inches from center of rear wheel to point of hook. Drawbar must be stationery in all directions. Not over 24 inches from top of hitch parallel to the ground for 15,500 & 18,500. Not over 20 inches for 5,500, 7,500, 9,500 & 12,500.
- All engine fans must be shrouded with steel 1/16 inch or thicker, 360 degrees.
- Oversize rims and cut tires will be permitted on stock tractors.
- Turbocharger must be under hood and of size and type that are used for farming. Decision of judge or judges will be final in regard to whether a tractor is a turbocharged farm tractor or a super stock.
- No super stock tractors allowed
SECTION IV-STOCK TRUCKS 7,000 lbs. Gasoline, 10,000 lbs. Diesel
- Must have valid WV Drivers License and valid WV license on truck.
- Trucks must be operated in a safe manner at all times, NO passengers in truck or track.
- Loss of ballast, parts, excessive fluid will result in a disqualification unless after forward momentum completed.
- Seatbelts required worn while pulling.
- All trucks must have D.O.T. tires.
- All hitches must be safe, secure and no more the 24″ in height. Must exceed body or bumper by at least 4″ and no more than 12″. Hitch point opening must be at least 3″.
- No front weights or weight brackets. No weight in cab. All weight must be in bed of truck.
- No extreme engine or drivetrain modifications allowed, (to be determined by tech officials) appearance bolt on items are allowed (wheels and tires, roll bars, bumpers, etc.) Hood stacks allowed on diesel trucks, it is strongly recommended that stacks be cross bolted. This may become a requirement for 2023.
- Engine must be year and make of truck. No engine swaps. Any question must be proven by driver.
- All decisions of tech officials final.
- Have to be inspected by tech officials and have approval certificate before registering truck.
- $10 entry fee per class.
- Trucks will be divided into two (2) classes: Gasoline, and Diesel.
SECTION XI-GENERAL RULES – TRUCK
- Any truck can pull in one of the classes only (stock, modified stock or modified) but no combination of any two classes.
- Violation of any rule will result in disqualification.
- Contest to be governed by judge or judges with all decisions final. Judges have a right to stop or disqualify any truck that is operated in any manner deemed unsafe.
- Any unruly behavior will result in that person being removed from the Fairgrounds.
- Any use of alcoholic beverages by driver or crew will result in removal from Fairgrounds.
- Unsportsmanlike conduct will result in disqualification and forfeit of entry money and any winnings.
- NO EXHIBITION PULLS.
- No shifting of manual transmission trucks in any of the three classes.
The decision of the judges is final and may not be appealed. Calls of judgement are not subject to appeal and shall be final.

GENERAL RULES & REGULATIONS:
- Driver must be at least 18 years old or have a minor release form signed by parent or guardian.
- Each vehicle may only be entered into competition 1 time per event. Each driver may enter only 1 time per class. Driver must have a valid state driver’s license.
- All contestants must sign a waiver understanding that they are competing at their own risk and that they will not bring suit against any officials, employees, event sponsors or the Jefferson County Fair Association. By signing the release form you agree to all rules set forth.
- Jefferson Co. Fair officials have the right to approve or reject any or all entry applications.
- Entry fee will be $20.00. Vehicles may be divided into 2 separate divisions, (2 Wheel drive or 4 Wheel drive) depending on the amount of vehicles.
- Entries will close one hour before session is scheduled to start.
- All vehicles must pass tech inspection before competing. If the officials determine a vehicle is un-safe, officials have the right to not allow vehicle to compete. Vehicle does not need current inspection sticker, license or insurance. Vehicle must be in the same physical condition as at the time it was last inspected for highway use. TECH INSPECTION AREA CLOSES ONE HOUR BEFORE SESSION IS SCHEDULED TO START.
- All drivers must attend driver’s meeting unless approved by track official.
- A vehicle may be disqualified for either emotional or physical reasons by Competition Director or track officials. Example: Drugs or drinking alcoholic beverages. Any driver or any of his or her pit crew consuming an intoxicating agent, and/or drugs, prior to or during the event will be disqualified from the event. Drivers will be held responsible for the actions of their crew.
- If any vehicle and/or driver are disqualified for any reason, no refund of entry fee or pit fee will be given.
- Competition vehicles must be operated in a safe manner at all times within the confines of the track, pit area, and staging areas. Track officials have the right to stop and disqualify any vehicle being operated in a reckless manner.
- Pit and staging areas speed limit is 5 M.P.H.
- Competitor must wait for the Green Flag from Starting Flagman before starting the run. Competitor must stop immediately upon signal from the Red Flag displayed by the Flagman.
- Only the driver will be allowed in the vehicle when it is being towed or driven in the pit area, staging area, or track. No riders in or on any vehicle while in the pit area, staging area, or in the track area.
- When Competition vehicle’s engine is running, a competent driver must be in the driver’s seat. No exceptions. Failure to abide may cause automatic disqualification.
- Track officials will have the option to check competitors for rule violations at any time during the event.
- All contestants must drive vehicle onto track and into position to compete under its own power and must leave track under its own power unless for breakage. No one allowed on the track except for track officials and contestant.
- Driver must wear D.O.T. approved full-face helmet. Helmet strap must be fastened. Driver must wear long pants and long sleeve shirts, no open footwear allowed. Fire retardant jackets and pants, shoes and gloves HIGHLY recommended.
- 4 wheel drive vehicles must compete in the 4WD class if classes are divided. Vehicle must be in 4 wheel drive when approaching the starting line and must make the entire run through the course in 4 wheel drive.
- Neck collars will be provided and must be worn.
- Verbal or physical abuse towards any track official will result in automatic disqualification.
- Contest will be governed by track officials and Competition Director with all decisions final.
VEHICLE REGULATIONS:
- Fuel: Pump gas only. All forms of nitro are illegal as a fuel or additive. Nitrous oxide or accelerators are not permitted. No nitrous oxide allowed. Diesel fuel is permitted in diesel engines.
- Seat belts (both lap belts and shoulder strap) required and must be worn.
- All vehicles must have a 4-wheel hydraulic brake system in good working condition. No individual wheel brakes allowed.
- All open body, removable, fiberglass or soft top vehicles must have at least a 6-point roll bar fastened (in no less than 4 locations) directly or indirectly to the frame. Roll bars are recommended in all vehicles in competition. No tailpipe tubing allowed for construction of roll bars.
- Front and side windows are not required (Hardware Cloth is recommended over drivers section of front window for protection from flying dirt or rocks).
- Vehicles must have original firewall and floor in original location. Only holes allowed are those for brakes, clutch, transmission controls and wiring. If battery is relocated, it must be in a plastic battery box securely mounted No batteries allowed inside of vehicle.
- Tires must have D.O.T. approved number. Maximum tire height is 36 inches. O.E.M. type wheels are required, maximum wheel width 10″. No cutting of tire tread allowed. Wheel weights must be removed before competing. (Non-tagged vehicles only). Hubcap or wheel covers must be removed before competing. No split rims allowed.
- No loose objects in cab or any place else in vehicle. Any ballast must be securely mounted.
- Engine must be in original location as intended by manufacturer. NO REAR ENGINE VEHICLES, NO MID ENGINE VEHICLES. Engines must be the same as came in the vehicle and in the original location. Original engine location means just that, engine cannot be moved up, down, forward or backward from the manufactured original location. Motor mounts can be strengthened.
- Body, hood, bed, fenders and wheelbase must meet O.E.M. specifications. Flat beds must be street legal for 1/W. All pick-up truck beds must be firmly attached to the chassis. Tailgates must be securely fastened or removed. If hood is bolted down, there must be a hole in the hood that measures at least 8″ in diameter above the carburetor.
- No engine modifications to increase horsepower are allowed. “Made for racing” or high performance engine parts will not be permitted. Stock factory O.E.M. engine components (carburetor, intake manifold, distributor, rocker arms, camshaft, pistons, crankshaft, etc.) are required & must be the correct year, make & model of engine being used. Track officials will have the option to check engines for rule violations at any time during the event.
- Headers and open exhaust permitted. Exhaust must exit under vehicle.
- Radiator must be in original location. All engine fans must be shrouded. Radiator overflow hoses must point downward.
- Must be stock factory suspension, O.E.M. replacement or equivalent. Dual shocks are permitted on front end to reduce breakage. Original front shock must remain mounted in original location: second front shock must be original equipment replacement or equivalent for the vehicle being used. Aftermarket lift kits will be allowed (Max. lift 4″). Length of suspension travel cannot be increased except to accommodate lift kit. Rear shocks must be mounted at original locations. All suspension components must be in good working condition. Racing suspension components will not be allowed.
- Non-licensed or non-tagged vehicles must have some form of safety strap to hold up front portion of driveshaft in case of failure; must be securely mounted. Chain or cable (min 1/4 “), steel strapping, etc. will be allowed. This is highly recommended on all vehicles.
- Fuel tanks – Stock fuel tanks in stock locations are highly recommended. Approved fuel tank (racing fuel cell) may be relocated in the bed of pick-up trucks and must be securely mounted. No fuel tanks or fuel lines allowed inside of vehicle unless they are factory installed or they meet the following regulations.
- If Approved fuel cell is used it must be located in rear most location in vehicle. The fuel cell must be enclosed in a steel containment box manufactured by the fuel cell builder and securely mounted.
- All fuel lines must be the braided steel type lines with the proper connection fittings and be immediately routed through the floor of the vehicle.
- Battery cannot be located inside cab of the vehicle.
- Frames – Must be complete original frame rails and cross members at original locations. Cutting frame rails and cross members to lighten vehicle is not permitted. Frames can be repaired for rust damage: any frame reinforcement must be approved by Tech Official.

- These rules and regulations aim to ensure the smooth operation of competition and establish the minimum requirements for such events. By participating, all attendees are considered to have adhered to these rules. Please note that these rules do not guarantee the safety of participants, spectators, or officials, and no explicit or implicit safety warranty arises from their publication or compliance.
- The Jefferson County Fair has the power to authorize minor deviations from the specified requirements or impose additional restrictions, as long as they do not compromise the minimum acceptable standards. Any changes made in this regard do not create an explicit or implicit safety warranty.
- The Jefferson County Fair retains the discretion to interpret and deviate from these rules as necessary. Decisions of the event officials are final.

- No riders at any time.
- Current and valid photo driver’s license Is required for the driver.
- Seatbelts must be worn and helmets are required
- The use of any form of alcohol is prohibited
- ALL DRIVERS MUST HAVE THEIR OWN HELMET
UTV/SIDE BY SIDE RULES:
- Batteries must be secure, truck bed needs to be clean (no trash, etc.)
- No four wheelers, ATV’s, dirt bikes, or home made vehicles.
RACING RULES:
- This is a 200’ Drag Racing Event
- Any vehicle that touches the white line on either side of that side by side’s lane will be disqualified.
- After the finish line you must stop before the predetermined stop point line, which will be marked on the track. Failure to do so will result in a disqualification.
- Left Lane exits first, followed by right lane. Failure to do so will result in a disqualification.
- No grudge racing
- Winners will return to the staging area immediately in order to receive staging instruction for their next round.
- All and any drag racing decisions such as winner and possible disqualifications are FINAL. No appeal process.
